Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah is the next Chief Minister of Karnataka and not DK Shivakumar. Meanwhile, tight security has been deployed outside the residence of Siddaramaiah, who was appointed as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka.
The Congress has nominated Siddaramaiah as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka and DK Shivakumar as the Deputy Chief Minister. The Congress has decided on a two-and-a-half-year rotational term for both the leaders. The swearing-in ceremony of the new chief minister will be held in Bengaluru on May 20.
