Hyderabad, Telangana: In a significant operation, Hyderabad police arrested three individuals involved in inter-state drug smuggling and seized ganja worth ₹30 lakh. ACP Vijay Srinivas provided details of the arrest, naming the suspects as Sayyed Abdullah, Anas Ahmad, and Irfan Sheikh.
"Three people have been taken into custody: Sayyed Abdullah, Anas Ahmad, and Irfan Sheikh," said ACP Srinivas, confirming the successful bust. The operation, carried out by the city’s law enforcement, highlights the ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
According to ACP Srinivas, the investigation is now focused on uncovering the entire drug supply chain and ensuring its complete dismantling. "Further inquiry is going on under the supervision of the DCP, to know the chain and break it," he added, signaling that more arrests or breakthroughs may follow as the probe continues.
The police plan to seek custody of the accused for further questioning, with the goal of gathering critical information about the broader network and its operations. "We will take police custody for further inquiry," ACP Srinivas stated, assuring the public that law enforcement will intensify efforts to eliminate the drug menace from the region.
The seizure of ₹30 lakh worth of ganja is a major step in Telangana’s crackdown on narcotics, as authorities work to keep the state drug-free and safe for its citizens.
