BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, the Jharkhand High Court on Friday refused to quash a plea filed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to quash the defamation case over his 2018 remarks on Amit Shah.
Moreover, a bench led by Justice Ambujnath reserved his decision on the written version of Rahul Gandhi presented on February 16.
Moreover, the case dates back to 2018, when Rahul Gandhi allegedly made derogatory remarks against Union Home Minister and then BJP President Amit Shah during a Congress session in Chaibasa. Furthermore, BJP leader Naveen Jha filed a defamation suit concerning the same in the Jharkhand High Court.
Additionally, a Sultanpur special court granted bail to Rahul Gandhi on 20th February in a similar case where he allegedly made derogatory remarks against Amit Shah at a press conference in Bengaluru in 2018.
