Maharashtra CM Shinde Vows to Reinstall Damaged Shivaji Statue

MUMBAI — Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde addressed the recent incident involving the fall of a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a revered figure in Maharashtra. Speaking about the unfortunate event, CM Shinde highlighted that the statue, erected and designed by the Navy, was damaged due to strong winds reaching speeds of approximately 45 km/h.

Expressing concern over the incident, Shinde mentioned that officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Navy are scheduled to visit the site tomorrow to investigate the cause of the statue's fall. He has already dispatched Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan to assess the situation immediately after learning about it.

CM Shinde assured the public that the state government is committed to understanding the reasons behind this incident and will ensure that the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is reinstalled at the same location, honoring the legacy of the revered figure.
