Main accused of Egra blast, TMC leader arrested from Odisha

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The West Bengal CID has made its first arrest in connection with an illegal fireworks factory blast at Egra in East Midnapore district. The police have arrested the main accused Bhanu Bag, his son and nephew. The owner of the factory, Bhanu Bagh, was admitted to a hospital in Odisha. According to CID sources, he had fled to Odisha after the blast at the factory in Egra. On Tuesday, eight people were killed in an explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in Khadikul village of Egra. Since this incident, the villagers have been angry.
