Odisha Gears Up for Cyclone Dana

Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Visuals from the State Emergency Operation Centre in Bhubaneswar show Special Relief Commissioner officials actively tracking the movement of Cyclone Dana. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the cyclonic circulation currently over the central Andaman Sea is expected to intensify into Cyclone Dana by October 23.

The cyclone is forecast to make its way towards the northwest Bay of Bengal, nearing the Odisha-West Bengal coasts by the morning of October 24. Authorities in Odisha are on high alert, with disaster management teams being readied for any emergency response. Coastal residents have been advised to stay vigilant and prepare for heavy rains and strong winds.

The state government is closely coordinating with the IMD to ensure timely updates and prompt action as the cyclone develops.
