Smriti Irani Signs Bilateral Haj Agreement 2024 in Jeddah

Accompanied by the State Minister of External and Parliamentary Affairs, signed the agreement which allocated New Delhi a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims for Haj Pilgrimage.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Smriti Irani, Minister of Minority Affairs on Monday signed the Bilateral Haj Agreement 2024 on her two-day visit to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 

The agreement was signed during a meeting co-chaired by Smriti Irani and Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, Saudi's Minister of Haj and Umrah Affairs of the Kingdom. The meeting also hosted talks on the upcoming Haj 2024. Smriti Irani, Accompanied by the State Minister of External and Parliamentary Affairs, signed the agreement which allocated New Delhi a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims for Haj Pilgrimage.

To accentuate the significance of the India-Saudi economic partnership, Irani convened with distinguished Saudi and Indian Business professionals. Along with this, she also met the Saudi's Indian Diaspora including Haj Volunteers and Community members on her two-day visit to Jeddah
