Chennai: Tamil Nadu BJP Vice President Narayanan Thirupathy addressed concerns surrounding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) during a recent statement in Chennai. Thirupathy dismissed allegations raised by the DMK and other political parties in Tamil Nadu, highlighting the positive impact of NEET on opportunities for district students in medical education.

"We have seen that the DMK and the other political parties in Tamil Nadu have been opposing NEET for so many reasons like it will affect the reservation and the regional language," Thirupathy stated. "But all these allegations were proved wrong. There was no impact on the reservation after the NEET came. Now, more district students from various districts in Tamil Nadu are getting into medical education."

Thirupathy addressed recent claims of a paper leak, categorizing them as baseless and unfounded. "To favor the private medical colleges, now again, they are coming with a baseless allegation saying that there was a paper leak which has not happened at all," he asserted.

His statements reflect the BJP's stance on NEET and its efforts to dispel concerns raised by opposition parties in Tamil Nadu. Thirupathy's remarks underscore the ongoing debate surrounding NEET and its implications for medical education in the state.
