BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Sandeshkhali victims and heard their grievances in Barasat, West Bengal on 6th March, Wednesday.

As per sources, PM Modi listened to the miseries of woman victims of Sandeshkhali like a father figure. The sources revealed that the victims were overwhelmed as PM Modi patiently heard and understood them.

Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an all-women's rally in Barasat, North 24 Parganas. Moreover, he paid a second visit to West Bengal this month.

Prime accused in the Sandeshkhali matter, Shahjahan Sheikh was arrested by the WB police on 29th February. Despite the orders of Calcutta HC, his case was not handed over to CBI by the West Bengal CID as the Bengal government moved to the court challenging HC's order.

A village located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Sandeshkhali is witnessing significant clashes and violence following allegations of systematic sexual exploitations and land-grabbing committed by TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh, Shibu Hazara and Uttam Sardar.
