Mumbai: During a press conference earlier today, Aaditya Thackeray, a prominent leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), voiced his concerns regarding the shifting of job and employment opportunities from Maharashtra to Gujarat over the past two years. Thackeray stated, “In the past two years, every job and employment opportunity coming to Maharashtra has been sent to Gujarat. There are several projects that have been given to Gujarat.”
Thackeray emphasized that while there is no issue with other states receiving projects, it is crucial for Maharashtra to retain its fair share. “We don’t have any problem with any state getting anything, but our share should not be taken away from us,” he asserted. His comments highlight the growing frustration within Maharashtra regarding the perceived neglect of the state’s economic interests in favor of Gujarat.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader's remarks come amid ongoing discussions about regional development and the need for equitable resource distribution among Indian states. Thackeray's concerns resonate with local citizens and business leaders who fear that the exodus of opportunities could hinder Maharashtra's growth and development.
As the political landscape evolves, Thackeray's statements reflect a broader call for attention to Maharashtra's economic needs and the importance of protecting the state’s interests in the face of competitive regional dynamics.
