Abhijit Gangopadhyay Welcomes CBI Probe into Kolkata Murder Case

BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay has welcomed the Calcutta High Court’s decision to assign the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate irregularities at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Gangopadhyay criticized the formation of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), alleging it was intended to suppress evidence of scams involving Sandip Ghosh and accusing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of attempting to destroy evidence.

Regarding Banerjee’s recent letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gangopadhyay dismissed it as “meaningless,” asserting that she is the primary culprit in the matter. He further demanded that the CBI begin questioning Banerjee and suggested that if she does not cooperate, she should be taken into custody.
