Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury Calls for CBI Probe in Kolkata Doctor Case

Kolkata: Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has voiced outrage over the rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Hospital, calling the incident "heart-wrenching" for both West Bengal and the nation. He highlighted ongoing protests by doctors and the widespread demand for the maximum punishment for the accused.

Chowdhury criticized the West Bengal government and police, accusing them of trying to suppress the incident from the start. He urged the state government and police to cooperate fully with a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe to ensure a transparent and thorough investigation into the case.
