Raigad, Maharashtra — Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, paid solemn tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his death anniversary at the historic Raigad Fort on Saturday.
The top leaders gathered at the fort, which served as the capital of Shivaji Maharaj’s kingdom, to honor the legendary Maratha warrior-king who laid the foundations of Hindavi Swarajya and inspired generations with his courage, administrative acumen, and vision for self-rule.
Amit Shah, who visited Raigad as part of his official tour, shared images from the ceremony and wrote, “Paid homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Raigad Fort, the symbol of valor and self-respect. His legacy will forever inspire India to stand tall with pride.”
CM Fadnavis and Deputy CM Shinde echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the enduring relevance of Shivaji Maharaj’s ideals in contemporary governance and leadership. “Shivaji Maharaj’s life is a guiding light for every Indian. His commitment to justice, governance, and people’s welfare is timeless,” said Fadnavis.
