Guwahati: Assam Agricultural Minister Atul Bora has lauded the Union Budget for its comprehensive and balanced provisions, emphasizing its benefits for various sectors and communities.
"This budget is balanced. It provides Rs. 11,500 crores for flood management in Assam," Bora stated, underscoring the critical allocation for tackling the region's recurrent flood issues.
Bora highlighted the budget's focus on empowerment, particularly for women, the middle class, and farmers. "This budget empowers women, middle-class people and farmers. It will strengthen every person, especially farmers. They will be highly benefitted," he said.
He further noted the unprecedented importance given to agriculture and allied sectors. "This budget gives unprecedented importance to agriculture and allied sectors. All sections of the society will be highly benefitted from this budget," Bora added, reinforcing the budget's inclusive approach.
Describing the budget as "pro-middle-class and pro-farmers," Bora's remarks reflect the positive reception of the budget's targeted measures aimed at fostering economic growth and development in Assam.
