Ranchi: Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the issue of infiltration, emphasizing the role of state governments in detecting and deporting infiltrators. "The infiltrators first enter Assam and West Bengal and then go to Jharkhand, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh," Sarma stated.
He referred to a directive from the Jharkhand High Court instructing the state government to take action on this matter. "Jharkhand HC has directed the State government to detect the infiltrators and deport them. It is the responsibility of the state government to detect and deport. It is not the responsibility of the Central government to do this," Sarma asserted.
Highlighting his approach in Assam, Sarma criticized any delegation of responsibility to the central government by state leaders. "I do this work in Assam daily. If you are not fulfilling your responsibility and say that Delhi should do it, then why are you in the chair? You should leave the chair and we will do this work," he remarked.
