Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma led a high-level meeting on September 9th to review and finalize the guidelines for the upcoming launch of Orunodoi 3.0, a flagship welfare initiative of the Assam government. The meeting focused on streamlining the processes to ensure seamless delivery of benefits under the scheme.

As part of Orunodoi 3.0, the Assam government plans to transfer ₹1,250 directly into the bank accounts of 37 lakh women across the state. The scheme, designed to empower women and improve their financial independence, targets economically weaker sections of society.

During the meeting, CM Sarma emphasized the importance of timely and efficient implementation of the program, ensuring that beneficiaries receive the funds without any hurdles.
