Taking charge as Delhi’s Chief Minister, Atishi evoked the story of Lord Ram's exile, likening herself to Bharat who managed the kingdom during Ram's absence. "Just as Bharat kept Lord Ram’s sandals and ruled in his place, I will run the Delhi government until Arvind Kejriwal returns," Atishi said.

She praised Kejriwal's integrity, stating that despite relentless attacks by the BJP, including his six-month imprisonment, he stood firm. "Arvind Kejriwal has set an example of dignity and morality. He has stepped down until the public of Delhi reaffirms its trust in his honesty."

Atishi expressed hope that Kejriwal would soon be re-elected as CM, maintaining that the position belongs to him. "Until then, the chair will remain here, waiting for Arvind Kejriwal."
