Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Bhubaneswar on September 17, Bhubaneswar Police Commissioner Sajeeb Panda provided an update on the comprehensive security arrangements being put in place. In a recent briefing, Panda outlined the meticulous preparations for ensuring the Prime Minister’s safety during his visit.
“PM is visiting Bhubaneshwar on 17th September, so we conducted a preparatory meeting with the officers of the commissionerate,” Panda said. He emphasized that security measures will follow established protocols as detailed in the blue book, ensuring high standards of safety and organization.
Panda highlighted the extensive arrangements being made at key locations, including the airport and the route leading to Janata Maidan. “We are making elaborate arrangements at the airport and the entire route from the airport to Janata Maidan,” he noted. These measures aim to facilitate a secure and smooth transit for the Prime Minister.
Security at the event venue, Janata Maidan, is also being fortified. “We are making adequate arrangements regarding security at Janata Maidan. We have also deployed additional women security officials,” Panda added. To further bolster security, the venue will be monitored through CCTV surveillance to ensure real-time oversight.
Panda’s remarks underscore the commitment of the Bhubaneswar police to providing robust security measures for the high-profile visit, reflecting a proactive approach to safeguarding the Prime Minister and ensuring the success of the event.
