Patna, Bihar – In a sharp political rebuttal, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Tejashwi Yadav, accusing him of compromising long-held positions for the sake of political power and appeasement.
Responding to Tejashwi Yadav’s recent remarks, Sinha invoked the legacy of his father, former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, stating, “Tejashwi Yadav is the son of the father who had said that Bihar would be divided over my dead body. However, due to his greed for power and appeasement, he was the first to rush forward and adopt the central government's decision.”
Though Sinha did not specify which decision he was referring to, his comments appear to be directed at the alleged inconsistency between past political stances and current actions by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leadership. He further alleged, “People with such a mentality can make any compromise in their greed for power.”
The remarks have escalated the ongoing political sparring between the ruling NDA alliance and the opposition bloc in Bihar ahead of the upcoming elections. Sinha’s comments also reflect the BJP’s continuing efforts to portray RJD leaders as opportunistic and ideologically inconsistent.
