Kerala: Addressing the Wayanad landslide incident, BJP leader V Muraleedharan expressed hope for the ongoing relief operations. "We hope that when the relief operations progress, we will be able to save more lives," he stated.
Muraleedharan pointed to warnings issued on 18th and 25th July, emphasizing that necessary precautionary measures should have been taken. "There was an alert and precautionary measures that needed to be taken. If it wasn't done, the government should find out who was at fault and take necessary steps," he said.
He dismissed the notion of a blame game, responding to some MPs of the INDIA alliance who blamed the Union government. "The Parliament can't be misled, so it is the responsibility of the Union Home Minister to place the facts before the House," Muraleedharan asserted, calling for transparency and accountability in the aftermath of the disaster.
