New Delhi: A political storm erupted after BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh accused Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi of disrespecting President Droupadi Murmu by allegedly calling her "poor" and describing her speech as boring. Vallabh termed the remarks an insult to the dignity of the President’s office and demanded a public apology from the top Congress leadership.

Speaking at a press conference, Vallabh strongly condemned the alleged statements, stating:

"Calling the country's first woman tribal President poor and calling her speech boring is an insult to the post of President. You are sitting on a constitutional post, and the President is giving her speech—how can you find it boring? This is not just disrespectful to the President, but also to the Constitution and democracy of India."

He further alleged that the Congress party has a history of undermining constitutional institutions and that their comments reflect a lack of respect for India’s highest office.
