Delhi: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey expressed confidence in his party's success in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, predicting a two-thirds majority. He raised concerns over the state's changing demographics, pointing to a sharp decline in the tribal population and a significant rise in the Muslim population.

"The tribal population has dropped from 45% to 27-28%, and it may fall further to 22% by the next census," Dubey stated. He attributed the increase in the Muslim population to Bangladeshi infiltrators, claiming a 15-16% surge in Jharkhand.

Dubey outlined the BJP’s commitment to addressing these issues by implementing the National Register of Citizens (NRC) if the party comes to power. "We will drive them (Bangladeshi infiltrators) away and restore tribal lands that have been taken by Muslims," he added.

The MP’s statements underscore the BJP’s focus on land and demographic concerns in its campaign for the Jharkhand Assembly elections.
