New Delhi: BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia on Monday addressed the issue of alleged infiltration in Jharkhand, claiming that foreign nationals from Bangladesh have been settling in the state under dubious circumstances. According to Bhatia, these individuals are reportedly marrying women from the scheduled tribes to gain access to tribal land, posing a severe threat to Jharkhand's local communities and overall security.
In a statement to the press, Bhatia said, "As part of a conspiracy, Bangladeshi intruders are being settled in Jharkhand. They marry into scheduled tribe communities, and over time, tribal land is being misappropriated." Bhatia voiced concern over the potential implications for internal security and the social structure in Jharkhand. He asserted that this issue extends beyond just land ownership and taps into broader concerns about safety and demographic shifts in the state.
Bhatia promised that if the NDA-BJP coalition comes into power in Jharkhand, measures will be taken to return tribal lands to their rightful owners. "If the NDA-BJP government is formed, we will ensure that the lands belonging to the scheduled tribes are returned to them. The people of Jharkhand deserve protection and stability, and we are committed to upholding their rights," he stated.
Additionally, Bhatia called on the public to recognize and respond to these alleged plots, assuring them that a BJP-led government would take stringent actions against such activities. He underscored the BJP’s commitment to safeguarding Jharkhand’s indigenous communities and reaffirmed the party’s stand on ensuring justice for tribal populations.
