By A Staff Reporter — Amid the heated campaign for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024, BJP candidate from Jamtara, Sita Soren, strongly condemned Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari for his derogatory remarks. In response to Ansari’s comments, Soren stated, “He has developed a habit of humiliating women. His recent remark isn’t just offensive toward me but has hurt the sentiments of women across all communities.” She further criticized the ruling party for continuing to support Ansari, saying, “He should be removed from the party, yet he’s been awarded a ticket instead.”
The incident has intensified political tensions, especially around the topic of respect for women in leadership and public office. Soren’s statement comes at a time when respect and dignity in public discourse are being hotly debated in Jharkhand’s political landscape.
Addressing concerns over tribal identity and demographic changes, Soren also echoed BJP’s stance on infiltration, warning of serious implications if tribal populations are overlooked. “Tribals are at risk as demographic changes continue,” she said. “The government has turned a blind eye to this issue. But if we come to power, we will make it a priority. Without intervention, tribals may one day cease to exist in their own lands.”
Soren’s comments underline the BJP’s campaign focus on preserving tribal culture and integrity, positioning her as a strong advocate for women and tribal communities. With elections approaching, her remarks add fuel to the ongoing debates over identity, demographic shifts, and the need for responsible governance in Jharkhand.
