Chhattisgarh: Dr. Ashutosh Chaturvedi, CEO of Zila Panchayat Korea, has announced the successful implementation of an Arjun planting initiative in Gram Panchayat Urumduga. "On 10 hectares of land, we have planted Arjun plants as part of a long-term plan," Dr. Chaturvedi reported. Out of 42,000 plants, 38,000 are thriving.

The initiative has not only been ecologically beneficial but also economically rewarding for local workers. The thriving plants are being used to produce Tussar silk, which is generating significant income due to strong market linkages. "Workers are producing Tussar silk from these plants and are earning good money, which is improving their economic condition," Dr. Chaturvedi added.
