Union Minister Chirag Paswan has called for stringent action against those involved in the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata, describing the incident as "horrific" and indicative of a deeply disturbing mindset. He stressed that individuals who commit such crimes have no place in society and must face the full force of the law.

"This is a cause of concern. This is a horrific incident, and the way this incident took place, it shows the psychology of the man who did this. Such people don't have a place in society, and strict action should be taken against them," Paswan said, condemning the act and underscoring the need for accountability.

Paswan also highlighted President Droupadi Murmu's recent remarks on the incident, emphasizing the state government's duty to act decisively. "Our President has also expressed concerns over this incident. Thus, it is the responsibility of the state government to take appropriate action where this case has happened," he noted.

The case has led to widespread outrage and demands for justice, with many advocating for stronger laws and better enforcement to protect women and ensure public safety. Paswan’s comments echo the national sentiment for urgent measures to prevent such atrocities and uphold the rights of all citizens.
