Jammu and Kashmir Elections 2024: Congress candidate from Bani Assembly constituency, Kajal Aggarwal, addressed a public gathering, emphasizing the significance of the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir, which will be held after a decade. She stated, "Elections are going to be held in J&K after 10 years. The BJP government (at the Centre) knows very well that this is the time to take revenge against them for making the state shed tears of blood."

Aggarwal expressed her concerns regarding the BJP's tactics, claiming they are trying to demoralize the people of Jammu and Kashmir. "They are not leaving any opportunity to demoralize our people and to betray them again," she said.

She also recounted an incident involving Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, who was scheduled to attend an event in Billawar but was denied landing permissions for her chopper. "Today, Priyanka Gandhi was going to come to Billawar to attend an event, but her chopper was not allowed to land. A flimsy excuse was given for it. Earlier, they had given permissions themselves for the event and security arrangements; however, at the last moment, they did this treachery," Aggarwal added.

Her statements reflect the heightened political tensions in the region as parties gear up for the elections, with accusations flying about the manipulation of political events and the suppression of opposition voices.
