Ahmedabad, Gujarat | Congress is preparing to hold a significant All India Congress Committee (AICC) session in Gujarat, senior party leader and MP Randeep Singh Surjewala said on Tuesday. Speaking about the preparations, he confirmed that a drafting committee has been formed, and discussions are ongoing.

“Congress is ready to hold a historic AICC session in Gujarat. In this regard, a drafting committee has been formed, and a meeting was held to discuss this. The discussions will continue. While I cannot disclose internal discussions—though Congress does not hide anything—once a clear direction is reached, we will brief you for sure,” Surjewala stated.

The Congress party is looking to make a strong political statement by hosting the session in Gujarat, a BJP stronghold. The meeting is expected to shape the party’s strategy ahead of upcoming elections and key national issues.

With further deliberations planned, party leaders are likely to finalize the agenda and logistical details soon, with an official announcement expected in the coming weeks.
