New Delhi, April 5 — Congress Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari has strongly criticised the recently passed Waqf (Amendment) Bill, calling it “unconstitutional” and affirming that the party will challenge it in the Supreme Court.

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Tiwari said, “When an unconstitutional bill is passed by both Houses, and we believe it violates the Constitution, then undoubtedly, the Supreme Court is the highest forum for its interpretation, and that is where we will go.”

The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, which was recently cleared by both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, has sparked a political and legal debate, with opposition parties alleging that the bill targets a specific community and undermines constitutional safeguards.
