Ahmedabad: As the Congress Working Committee (CWC) prepares for a key meeting in Gujarat, senior party leader Rajeev Shukla highlighted the symbolic and strategic significance of the venue, expressing confidence in the party’s resurgence both in the state and across the country.

“This Gujarat is the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. The CWC meeting will be held at Sardar Patel's memorial. In the evening, there will be prayers at Sabarmati Ashram,” Shukla said while addressing the media.

He described the event as the launchpad for a renewed Congress campaign aimed at strengthening the party nationwide. “From this, the campaign to strengthen Congress will begin not just in Gujarat but in the whole country,” he added.

Shukla emphasized that Rahul Gandhi remains committed to reviving the party’s fortunes in Gujarat, a state where Congress has struggled to gain electoral ground in recent years. “Rahul Gandhi has full faith that Congress will form government in Gujarat,” he said.
