NEW DELHI – A team of Delhi Election officials visited Kapurthala House, the official residence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, following a complaint about alleged cash distribution received through the cVIGIL app today. The complaint raised concerns about possible electoral malpractices amid the ongoing campaigning for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.
AAP's candidate from Jangpura Assembly constituency, Manish Sisodia, quickly responded to the developments, accusing the Election Commission of focusing on false allegations. “The Election Commission is not seeing the distribution of cash, sarees, and other things being done by the BJP,” Sisodia said, suggesting that the ruling party was engaged in similar practices to influence voters.
Sisodia further criticized the Election Commission, alleging that it was conducting “fake raids” and spreading “false rumours” among the public. “People should check the facts,” he added, calling for transparency and fair investigations into all political parties involved.
