In a recent protest organized by the Delhi Congress, party president Devender Yadav criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's performance on electricity rates in Delhi. Yadav highlighted the discrepancy between promises made by the AAP and the current reality. "When the AAP government came to power, they promised to halve the electricity rates and make water free. If we compare the rates from 10 years ago to now... the average billing rate is 10 rupees per unit," Yadav stated.

He expressed disappointment over the perceived failure to fulfill electoral promises, particularly regarding electricity pricing. "So, we want to ask this government: how did the electricity rates, which were supposed to be halved, end up doubling?" Yadav questioned.
