New Delhi: Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav recently visited Kalkaji, the constituency represented by Chief Minister Atishi, and criticized the state of infrastructure and governance in the area.
Yadav remarked, “I believe that since this is the constituency of CM Atishi, there should not be any issue here. However, the kind of environment Delhi has, I am confident that Kalkaji is not an exception.” He pointed out several persistent problems in the constituency, including broken roads, water shortages, rising inflation, and growing unemployment.
The Congress leader further accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of fostering corruption instead of addressing these critical issues. “There are broken roads everywhere, there is water shortage, inflation and unemployment are rising, and AAP has worked towards increasing corruption,” he added.
Yadav’s remarks come as part of Congress’s ongoing criticism of AAP's governance, with the party focusing on local issues in the run-up to future elections. His visit to Kalkaji highlights the opposition's efforts to highlight the gaps in the ruling party’s promises of better governance and services for Delhi residents.
