Begusarai, Bihar — Union Minister Giriraj Singh strongly criticized the West Bengal government on Saturday in response to the recent outbreak of violence in Murshidabad, claiming that Hindus are being forced to flee the region. He held the Mamata Banerjee-led state government responsible for failing to protect all communities equally.

Speaking to reporters, Singh said, “The security of Hindus is as much the responsibility of Mamata Banerjee as it is for Muslims. What is happening in Murshidabad is deeply unfortunate. Hindus are being forced to flee their homes, and all this is happening right under the nose of the state administration.”

The Union Minister’s remarks come amid reports of communal tension and violence in parts of Murshidabad, raising concerns about law and order and the safety of residents. While local authorities have yet to provide a full account of the situation, political leaders have begun reacting strongly.

Singh accused the state government of political bias and inaction, suggesting that such incidents highlight deeper issues of governance and selective appeasement. “The government cannot turn a blind eye when one section of society feels unsafe. Law and order must be upheld for everyone,” he added.
