New Delhi: On the disqualification of wrestler Vinesh Phogat from the Olympics, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) MP Hanuman Beniwal voiced his concerns, demanding a thorough investigation.

"The Prime Minister says we have good international relations, then how did this happen with Vinesh? 140 crore Indians are sad today. There is a big conspiracy in this, it should be investigated," Beniwal said.

He also criticized the Sports Minister's recent statement in the House regarding the financial support provided to athletes. "The Sports Minister's statement, which mentioned how much money the government has spent on the athletes, is an insult to the athletes," Beniwal added.

Beniwal's comments reflect a growing sentiment of disappointment and frustration among Indians regarding the handling of the situation, with calls for greater transparency and accountability in the treatment of the nation's sports stars.
