Bengaluru: Dr. N Puviarasan, Head of the Meteorology Department, Karnataka, has issued a warning about heavy rainfall across the state over the next few days. "Due to well-marked low pressure over the Bay of Bengal and an upper-level trough extending up to the south coast of Karnataka, we are experiencing northeast monsoon rainfall," he said.

He further explained that the low pressure system is expected to move inland within the next two days, which will lead to continued rainfall for the next three days. "We are expecting heavy rainfall today, with very heavy rainfall likely tomorrow in coastal Karnataka and South interior Karnataka," Dr. Puviarasan added.
