Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Minister Vikramaditya Singh reported that the state has experienced less damage during this year's monsoon season compared to the previous year. Singh provided an update on the ongoing efforts to reopen the closed roads, stating that currently, 117 roads remain closed in the state.

"The state and our department have suffered a loss of about Rs 183 crore," Singh stated. "Approximately 264 machines have been deployed in various areas to expedite the road-clearing work."

Singh also noted the lack of assistance from the central government during the disaster. "No help was received from the central government during the disaster. However, the state government is fully engaged in all kinds of relief work," he added.
