In a significant move to enhance outreach in high-altitude and border regions, the Indian Army has launched the "Voice of Kinnaur" community radio station in Pooh, located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. This initiative aims to connect with the local populace and provide them with valuable information, news, and entertainment, while also acknowledging the community's vital role in nation-building.
The radio station, dedicated to the people of Himachal Pradesh, reflects the Army’s commitment to community welfare and outreach in remote areas. It serves as an important platform to strengthen the relationship between the Army and local residents, ensuring they are well-informed and supported, especially in high-altitude regions where access to regular media can be challenging.
“This transformative initiative is part of the Army’s ongoing outreach in the border and high-altitude regions,” an Army official stated. “It honors the sacrifices and contributions of local communities towards the progress and security of our nation.”
