Jharkhand CM Addresses Train Derailment, Announces Compensation

Ranchi, Jharkhand: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the tragic train derailment incident where several coaches of the Howrah-CSMT Express derailed near Chakradharpur, Jharkhand on July 30 morning. Soren expressed deep concern over the increasing frequency of such accidents.

"I express my condolences to those who lost their lives in this tragic incident," Soren stated. He announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured in the derailment. "The way train derailments have been happening in recent times is concerning," he added, highlighting the urgent need for measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
