Kerala: In response to the devastating landslides in Wayanad, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced several measures to aid the affected region. Vijayan confirmed that steps have been initiated to deliver food and essential supplies, including two vehicles carrying 20,000 liters of drinking water.

He instructed health workers currently on leave to return to duty immediately and emphasized the importance of community support in the face of such a tragedy. "Nothing can replace the loss of loved ones or possessions, but we must extend our support and lift those affected," Vijayan stated.

The Chief Minister urged the public to contribute to the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund (CMDRF) to support the rebuilding efforts. He also warned against unnecessary vehicles causing blockages and emphasized the need for cooperation. "Everyone must be prepared to cooperate and provide support," Vijayan added.
