Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar addressed Congress objections regarding the inclusion of texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, and important Buddhist and Sikh texts in college curricula. Parmar defended the decision, stating that the government is merely including reference texts and not the entire Vedas. He accused Congress of lacking knowledge and making objections deliberately, emphasizing that the curriculum changes are meant to incorporate diverse cultural and philosophical perspectives without overwhelming the syllabus.
