Guna, Madhya Pradesh — Tensions flared in Guna on Thursday as members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal protested at Hanuman Chowk, condemning a stone-pelting incident during the Hanuman Jayanti procession. The protestors, demanding strict action against those responsible, blocked the area and created a disturbance.

In response, the police deployed a mild lathi-charge to disperse the crowd and restore order. The protestors had gathered in large numbers, chanting slogans and demanding justice following the stone-pelting during the religious procession, which they claimed disrupted the peaceful celebration of Hanuman Jayanti.

While no significant injuries were reported, the situation remained tense as police controlled the crowd. Authorities have assured that an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators of the stone-pelting incident, and additional security measures have been implemented in the area to prevent further unrest.
