In a recent statement from Thane, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed confidence that the Shiv Sena-led Mahayuti coalition would secure a decisive victory in the upcoming elections. Shinde took aim at the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), claiming it had obstructed critical projects and development efforts during its tenure. “For 2.5 years, the Maha Vikas Aghadi propped up all obstacles, stopping all works and projects,” he stated.
Since coming to power, Shinde emphasized, the Mahayuti government has been working to revive and fast-track these halted initiatives. He cited accomplishments in infrastructure development and efforts to make women self-reliant and empowered. “We are making women self-reliant and empowered. PM Modi has also made them empowered to gain self-respect,” Shinde noted, crediting the central and state governments’ “double-engine” approach for accelerating progress.
Shinde further predicted that Maharashtra would support Mahayuti with a historic majority, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to development and inclusive growth. He concluded by stating that Maharashtra voters are likely to “break all records” in their support for Mahayuti, endorsing the coalition’s vision for the state.
