Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has condemned the disappearance of one Kamalbabu, who allegedly went missing after entering the Army camp at Leimakhong. Addressing the media, the Chief Minister expressed deep concern over the incident and emphasized the collective responsibility of the Central and State governments in ensuring the missing person is found.

"We condemn this kind of thing. The Central government has asked the concerned authority to find out the person's whereabouts, and the State government has also sent a team in search of the missing person. Our common agenda is to find the missing person, and it is very unfortunate that such an incident happened inside the Army campus," the Chief Minister stated.

The disappearance of Kamalbabu has sparked unease among locals, with calls for transparency and accountability in the search operation. The Army authorities have assured cooperation in the investigation, while the State's search team is working closely with other agencies.

Chief Minister Singh reiterated his government's commitment to resolving the issue swiftly and reassured the public that all possible measures are being taken to uncover the truth behind the incident. "We are determined to bring clarity to this unfortunate situation. The safety and security of our citizens are of utmost importance," he added.
