As Durga Puja approaches, Odisha’s Additional Director General (ADG) of Law & Order, Sanjay Kumar, addressed security measures being implemented to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the festival. "Durga Puja is a very important festival... in Odisha, the immersion of the idol is a grand process," Kumar stated, underscoring the significance of the celebrations in the state.
Kumar hBhubaneswar, Odisha:ighlighted the extensive arrangements made for the immersion process, noting that this year, special care has been taken to enhance security. "We have assisted our district Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and the Commissioner of Police. We have deployed around 205 platoons of security forces, in addition to 8 companies of CRPF and BSF," he elaborated.
The deployment of security personnel aims to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents during the festivities. Kumar reassured the public of the state's commitment to maintaining peace and security throughout the Durga Puja celebrations.
