Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Manjhi announced the inauguration of a semiconductor factory unit in the state, attributing this success to the efforts of the newly formed state government and the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The factory's establishment is seen as a significant milestone in boosting the state's industrial landscape.

Speaking at the event, CM Manjhi shared his optimism about the state's future in the semiconductor industry, emphasizing the increasing demand for semiconductors from companies across various sectors. "We have requested industrialists, particularly those in the IT sector, and as a result, today we were able to inaugurate the semiconductor unit in Odisha," he said.

Manjhi further noted that companies from the US, Japan, and Singapore have expressed interest in setting up production units in Odisha. He added that the state government is actively engaging with several global companies to encourage investments in this sector.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the establishment of the semiconductor hub will not only drive economic growth but also enhance Odisha's industrial prominence on a global scale. "In the coming days, Odisha will become a hub for semiconductors," he concluded.
