Pulwama, J&K: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has expressed optimism about his party's prospects in the upcoming elections, slated for the day after tomorrow. Abdullah voiced his confidence that a significant portion of the votes will favor National Conference (NC) candidates, leading to their success in the polls. "We are hoping that when the voting takes place the day after tomorrow, a good portion of the votes will go to the National Conference candidates and they will be successful here," Abdullah stated.

In his remarks, Abdullah also took a critical stance against Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid, accusing him of having external influences in his political maneuvers. "His strings are connected somewhere else. He gets the signal from somewhere else. They dance on that signal. It is obvious that they have been fielded to target the National Conference. There is no problem, we can face it," Abdullah said.

Abdullah’s comments reflect a broader political strategy as the National Conference prepares for what they anticipate to be a competitive election. By challenging Rashid's political motives, Abdullah aims to underscore the perceived threats and divisions within the electoral landscape while rallying support for his party's candidates.

The National Conference's focus on these electoral contests is seen as a critical move in maintaining their political influence in the region, with Abdullah positioning the party as a primary contender against perceived external and internal challenges.
