Dehradun – Marking the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Foundation Day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the party’s journey and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for recent legislative achievements, including the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill.
“Recently, the historic feat of passing the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Parliament happened under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi,” Dhami said during a public address in Dehradun. He described the bill as a step towards transparency and equality, reflecting the government's commitment to fair governance.
Highlighting the growth of the BJP, Dhami remarked, “Today, the BJP has become the biggest political party in the world due to the efforts of crores of party workers.” He credited grassroots workers for strengthening the party’s foundation and ensuring its deep reach across the country.
On the state’s development, Dhami reassured citizens that progress would be inclusive and regionally balanced. “We have made a commitment to develop every corner of Uttarakhand without any discrimination,” he said, underlining the government’s focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare, and employment.
