Will not form any political party: Prashant Kishor

Patna, Bihar – Speaking on the political scenario surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third consecutive term, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor expressed that PM Modi has become a "weaker PM" in his current term. Addressing the media, Kishor pointed out that despite the BJP securing more than 30 seats in Bihar in 2014, 2019, and again in the recent election, the ground realities in the state have remained unchanged for the common people.

Kishor had previously predicted that Modi’s third term would witness a dip in his effectiveness, noting that after 10 years in power, people have had ample time to evaluate the impact of his governance. "People of Bihar gave over 30 seats to BJP in 2014, and in 2019, they gave them 39 seats. But what changed for the lives of Biharis?" questioned Kishor, emphasizing the stagnation in development.

He further highlighted the challenge for the BJP, especially with nine state elections approaching in the next two to two-and-a-half years. Kishor speculated that the outcomes of these elections would play a pivotal role in determining the party’s future and PM Modi’s influence. "If the results go against BJP, questions will arise on the stability of the government," he remarked. However, he also noted that a strong performance in these elections could maintain BJP’s momentum.

Kishor’s remarks come at a crucial time, as discussions surrounding the performance of PM Modi’s government and the role of key allies like Nitish Kumar and N Chandrababu Naidu continue to dominate the political discourse.
