Pune Police Gears Up for Ganeshotsav Security

Pune, Maharashtra: As the city prepares for the Ganeshotsav celebrations, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar assured the public that all necessary security measures are in place to ensure a safe and smooth festival. Speaking about the arrangements, CP Kumar mentioned that 22 special help centres have been set up across the city, and a heavy police force has been deployed to regulate traffic and manage the large crowds expected during the festivities.

“We are utilizing technology to monitor crowd movement and prevent any untoward incidents. Our focus is on preventing crimes such as pickpocketing, mobile thefts, and ensuring the safety of women,” Kumar said, emphasizing the city's preparedness.

The Commissioner also highlighted the strong cooperation between the police and various Ganesh mandals, ensuring effective crowd management and overall security. Additionally, he warned that the police are closely monitoring social media posts, and any attempts to disturb communal harmony or incite violence will be dealt with strictly.

The comprehensive security strategy reflects the Pune Police's commitment to making the Ganeshotsav festival safe for all participants.
